Year after year, to escape his loneliness, Dieter Genreith travels to Thailand. It was there that he met Tukta, who is about the same age as Carolin, Dieter’s daughter. In her very personal documentary, the director attempts to understand her father’s new life.

In addition to his desk job, Dieter Genreith runs a farm with many animals and crops. However active he is, he feels lonely after separating from his wife. His attempts to find a new partner in Germany have been unsuccessful. So year after year he travels from the Eifel region to Thailand, where he met a woman only slightly older than his daughter, who has profound problems with this relationship. Dieter even learned the foreign language. But Carolin is sceptical: is her overweight, somewhat clumsy, over-60-year-old father one of the many German sex tourists who buy erotic adventures in Thailand for little money? She tries to understand him, his desires and his fears, and makes a very personal documentary in which both sides are open, honest and tolerant enough to learn from each other.
